PRODUCT OF THE WEEK – HEIDI SWAPP COLOR SHINE FALL 2013 COLOUR RANGE

Heidi Swapp Color Shine’s originally started with 12 intense colours that were great for mixing and blending. However, upon realizing that these vivid colours could not be made lighter, Heidi decided to launch six new colours that are softer but still great for mixing and blending. The new 2013 Fall colour range includes white, sea foam, coral, blush, navy and citron, and they all still work perfectly with the previous 12 colours. Each shade is soft and delicate, but still has that great pop of colour that Color Shine’s are known for. Each spray has a rich splash of colour with a beautiful luminous glow and are ideal for all types of craft projects. Colour Shine’s are acid free, non toxic and water based and can be added to paper, chipboard, wood and fabrics and trims. Introducing Starfish Lane

For Jan at Crafty Cards on Garling, 2013 has been a massive year for change.  As many of you already know, Avrile from Starfish Lane took over the business from 1 July and Crafty Cards is now called Starfish Lane – a branch of the well know Invitation Stationery business in North Perth.  Now don’t panic – Avrile has not stopped the craft section of the business.  She has simply added to the craft supplies,  so there is even more to see!

If you haven’t visited lately, you won’t recognise the place!  Now it’s easy to see the fantastic array of paper and craft supplies in all their splendour.

Avrile and the  talented Starfish Lane team of Genevieve, Shirley and Donna have had a busy two months making these changes, and introducing invitation stationery to the already large range of cardmaking, scrapbooking and stamping supplies.  They celebrated the official opening of Starfish Lane, and farewelled Jan on Saturday with a Make and Take (taught by Shirley) and a delicious spread of cake and tea.  It was a great success with a wonderful response from lovely customers.

The staff are still busy at work and are now happy to announce that they are ready to begin not only their classes but also social cardmaking and scrapbooking AND the popular Make and Takes!

The Classroom opened yesterday for social scrapbooking every Tuesday morning from 10am to 1pm and social cardmaking every Wednesday morning from 10am to 1pm.  Bring a friend or two or three, and enjoy the store’s free facilities. Although the classroom is spacious for your comfort, the limit is eight people so please be sure to give us a call and reserve a place.

The talented Shirley and Donna will be teaching the first two classes.

If you have been bamboozled by the huge range of rubber stamps and inks out there, don’t be! Come along to Starfish Lane’s ‘Clean and Simple’ single layer card class and see for yourself how much fun (and how easy) stamping can be!

The range of cards taught in Starfish Lane’s Clean and Simple class.

On Saturday 14 September, Shirley will teach five different options using Distress Inks and stamps. The cost of the class is $25.00 and will run from 2pm to 4pm.

The cards to be made in Donna’s Get Dressed class.

Saturday 21 September will see Donna teaching the 3D ‘Get Dressed’ card class.  If you are someone who loves clothes, this is the class for you! Create eye-catching cards for that special friend, both female and male! The men’s shirt card is the cutest! The cost of the class is $25.00 and will run from 2pm to 4pm. All materials and tools will be supplied, except for the paper trimmer.

Finally, a Make and Take will be run twice a month, on every second Friday morning, starting Friday 13 September at 10am.  There is preparation involved in making up the kits for the Make and Take, so please give Starfish Lane a call or drop them an email if you would like to attend.

If you haven’t been to Crafty Cards/Starfish Lane for awhile, drop in and surprise yourself with all the wonderful changes we have made, and book into one of our classes or Make and Take mornings!
