If you were lucky enough to get away for the holiday season then you know that coming back with hundreds of photos and memories from your time away can only mean one thing – lets get scrapping! I just recently came back from a wonderful holiday in Hawaii, the weather was perfect, the atmosphere was amazing and I took too many photos to count! So naturally all I want to do is scrap madly about all the incredible adventures I had on my trip.

While I am positive everyone has loved seeing all the gorgeous reveals of new lines from CHA, one of the ones that caught my eye is this sweet travel line by Adrienne Looman. I must say I am drawn to it more so than others completely because of my own holiday adventure, and all I want to do is scrap about it using this gorgeous collection. The patterns, colours, designs – everything about it screams I need another holiday! But in all seriousness there is something special about this collection that takes me back to Hawaii and reminds me of the exciting moments I had. I love how bright and cheerful it is – it definitely stands out from most travel lines I have seen.

Journey Begins and Pure Happiness

Journey Begins and Pure Happiness

The Journey Begins paper took me back to sitting in my aeroplane seat looking with wonder and amazement out at the sky above and counting down the minutes – actually hours – until I got to my destination. The Pure Happiness paper has an enchanting bokeh effect that reminded me of spending New Years Eve on Waikiki Beach, the fireworks going off all around me and the feeling of sand beneath my toes.

Arrow and Camera paperclips and Cameo variety pack

Arrow and Camera paperclips and Cameo variety pack

What I love the most (if it is even possible to choose my favourite thing) are the Arrow and Camera paperclips… as soon as I saw these little gems my mind started racing with ideas on how to use them! What a clever idea the little camera is, and such a big trend right now is using the camera image as embellishments on layouts. Lots of what we saw at CHA involved this delightful camera image so we are happy to see it has made its way into this gorgeous collection. The paperclips also work a treat with the Cameo packs too!

Globe and Nautical Frame and Dome charms

Oh and I can’t forget about the Globe and Nautical Frame and Dome charms – they are just too cute and of course very fitting for this theme! So that’s enough about my travel stories, but to find out more about this stunning collection visit Webster’s Pages.

Correction to p. 65 of Vol 16 No 6 (Masters)

An unfortunate error was made on p. 65 of the Master’s issue.

Amanda Melville was an awarded an Honourable Mention for her layout ‘Happy memories’, however the incorrect layout was published.

The correct layout is as follows.

Happy memories

Materials: Paper – My Mind’s Eye; Cardstock – Crea8tiv; Stamp – My Mind’s Eye, Tim Holtz Distress Ink; Embellishments – My Mind’s Eye die-cuts, Kaisercraft tags, twine, washi tape.

“My layout was inspired by this photo of my son on his 5th birthday. The joyful expression on his face and the bright yellow of the playground behind him inspired me to create a layout that conveyed that happy feeling. I wanted to keep the focus on the photo so I included just a few embellishments. The banners add a sense of fun to the photo and the arrows direct the eye around the layout. The dominant colour in this layout is yellow, which to me just spells happy and the blue and brown give the layout a boyish feel.”

I would like to extend a sincere apology to Amanda.
