All of my layouts revolve around the photo. I like to adapt a simple scrapping style for my projects, with the photo as the focus of the page. For me, photos are the most important thing in the layout, so it should always be the main focal point of the piece. I choose colours, embellishments and titles around the subject of my photos and their hues.

The world around you is the best source for inspiration. Everything around me inspires me! I find fabulous design ideas from magazines, television, books - even food packaging.

Loved ones are a great resource when you're stuck for ideas. Whenever I get stuck on a tricky layout, or have scrappers block, I ask my husband what to do. He's full of great, fresh ideas and he's always willing to help.

Challenge yourself by using diffrent size photos. This is a great way to vary your album and give some of your pages a different look. If you're used to working with 6in x 4in photos, blow 1 or 2 photos up to 5in x 7in and use less embellishments to create a single layout. You can then use smaller photos on the opposing page with your journalling or title.
