My scrapbooking style is simple and sophisticated. My work is always colorful, symmetric, meaningful and completed. My personal design preference is very simple, with a great use of colour and tons of handwritten journalling. I can be a bit of a perfectionist and so I've learned that keeping it simple gets the project completed.

My pages come to life from the colours in the photographs. I select the pictures I want to include in a layout, then scan them to see what colour combinations I think would best compliment them. I then gather some coordinating supplies and start to play around with the layout by moving the pieces around. I usually rearrange things several times before the page starts to 'come to life'.

I am truly inspired by everything! When I combine my love for creativity, my family and photography, the inspiration that I have gathered from the world around me comes out full-force. Whether I'm creating a new product line or planning a page, I don't limit my inspiration to the craft world - I don't set any limits. I will bring ideas in from anything...fashion, cosmetic packaging, advertising, fabric, etc.

If you're stuck on a layout don't stress about it - just have fun creating! Don't worry if you get stuck on a project or something doesn't go to plan - just enjoy the process! When I have scrapper's block I might just flip through a magazine or take a walk around the mall. I can pick up ideas from just about anywhere. Just remember not to get too hung up on the details. Relive the moments and memories that you are scrapping. After all, isn't that what our entire craft is all about?
