I like to keep my projects clean, simple and modern. I don’t do a lot of physical journalling so when you see something of mine it usually has a lot of little bits and pieces that represent my emotions. I love to tell my story through words or embellishments, and people that know me are able to read between the lines. I tend to use pink a lot because I have girls and like to create feminine pages for them.

I always plan my pages around my photos – they inspire me. When I am choosing the colours, embellishments and design that I want to use, I always try to compliment the photo instead of losing it. It has to be the main focus of the page. I also prefer to do projects over pages because they are great for gifts and I like to theme all of the photos in one little keepsake.

My favourite product by far would have to be the Xyron 900. I am only able to complete as much as I do by using this machine. A project that would usually take 3 hours to make would be done in 1 hour. I am very fussy about the look of my projects. Using the Xyron places a thin layer of adhesive on the back and when you place it down, it doesn’t leave any marks or lumps.

Be true to yourself and your own instincts. Scrapbooking is about recording your own history and nobody can do the craft better than how you can do it. If you think something should be done a certain way – just do it! Trust your instincts and remember that you are scrapping for yourself and your family, so do it your way!
