EACH PAGE SHOWS YOUR PERSONALITY!
Every photo has such a different meaning and personality to it that I decided I don’t really consider myself to be a straight scrapper, a slanted scrapper, a clean scrapper or a freestyle scrapper – but a mixture of them all. I simply want my designs to portray the moment that I am scrapping both in design and in colour!

MY PAGES ARE ALMOST ALWAYS PHOTO-FOCUSED.
I usually start by picking the photos I want to use. If there are 1-3 that I prefer then I will print them in a larger format and print the ‘extras’ as an index print or wallet size print.  Then I decide where I want my main focus to be and fill in the rest of the spaces to keep it all in check (well-balanced).

COLOUR DRIVES MY CREATIVITY ON LAYOUTS!
Even a black and white photo — which I love to use for dramatic pages — give me lots of great colour ideas! I select colours that match the event, the subject and the pose. The colour choices of the layout are, in my opinion, what sets the tone for the design!

I LIKE TO THINK BEYOND THE CURRENT AVAILABLE PRODUCTS
What can I do that I haven’t seen before?  Sometimes I end up with a layout that didn’t quite meet my expectations, and other times, I hit the mark and am more than thrilled with the outcome — it’s all about being willing to try something new and not being afraid to play around!

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE CHIPBOARD!
It is such a versatile product!. Paints, inks, glitter, fabric, paper — you name it and chipboard can be adorned with it! That’s why I created our BIG Board and BIGGEST Board chipboard lines—it’s a great product for scrapbookers of all levels and it’s pretty easy on the budget!

BE YOU IN ALL OF YOUR DESIGNS.
If you like to follow sketches or other layouts from favourite designers, don’t forget to do your own thing—that’s what matters most when you’re preserving memories!! I have many favourite scrappers that I learn from, but I like to make sure that my own look falls into place somewhere in that big picture!!
