My style is innovative, feminine and balanced
With all the wonderful products on the market I love to add all the latest trinkets to my layouts, yet still making sure the photograph remains the centre of attention. My style has developed through play, I like to try and see outside the square to find new and innovative ways to use products.

I can start with either a photo or a product
My preference is to start with a fresh photo and work around that. However, due to work commitments I usually have to work around a product or theme. I tend to then collect a range of papers and embellishments in the chosen colour and take it from there. I never actually have a plan or layout in mind, I just start and see what happens.

I scrap to hold onto my memories
My family is the main focus in my scrapbooking pages. I want to remember all the small details in life, the expressions on my children’s faces, the precious moments that often disappear all too quickly. With scrapbooking, I can capture those and hold onto them forever.

The photo must be the focus
I think balance is important, along with ‘white’ space. I don’t like my pages to be so full of embellishments that you need to search for the photo – I prefer the product to enhance rather than overtake.

Try not to plan too much
When a layout is planned down to the last detail, it often just doesn’t come out the same as it was in your imagination. This can lead to being left unhappy with the outcome. Instead, try and experiment - play, create and enjoy the entire process.
