  1. What is your role at Maya Road?

I have been the Design Team Coordinator for Maya Road since 2007.

  1. Tell us a little about your style and how you came to scrap this way.

I have always loved any and everything vintage so my shabby chic style seems to come naturally. I enjoy incorporating cream felt with vintage sheet music or ledger paper then accenting them with velvet trim, decorative pins and blossoms. I can always find a spot to accent the edges of my papers using decorative scissors that are either pinked or scalloped. And to complete my projects I use a sewing machine to add straight or zig zag stitching or some simple hand stitching using a needle and embroidery floss.

  1. What is your all time favorite product?

I could never pick just one Maya Road product. Caroline and Deb always manage to release new product that is a must have for my stash of everyday supplies. I love all their velvets and trims. The jewel pins as well as the vintage pearl pins. These are all perfect to use as accents for any project. And I can never get enough of their beautiful blossoms.

  1. Do you have any special tips or tricks that you would like to share?

One fast and easy technique to try is applying alcohol inks to the tops of jewel pins. This is a great way to add a little splash of sheer color to projects.
