Celebrate with Scrap Girls for their 10th anniversary!

Everyone loves a party, right? You are now officially invited to a three-week party as Scrap Girls, one of the top digital scrapbooking sites on the web, celebrates their 10th anniversary! Starting today, October 17, through to Saturday, November 8, Scrap Girls will be having chats, free classes, challenges, and giveaways galore! And they’ve even designed a freebie just for Scrapbooking Memories, so keep reading….

When Scrap Girls started in October 2004, they weren’t just the new kid on the block, they were pretty much the only kid on the block. When they first opened their digital doors, they mainly featured digital designs that could be printed out to use in traditional scrapbooking because no one had really heard of digital scrapbooking! But after 10 years, they have taught tens of thousands of scrapbookers how easy and fun it is to create pages quickly with their computers. Now the Scrap Girls Boutique is full of thousands of products that help people explore things that can only be done in digital, like merging photos together, adding effects, or customising products to be any size or colour desired.  Plus most of their products are still printable and can be used for paper projects like the inspiring ones shown on their blog each month.

Scrap Girls is looking forward to what the next 10 years brings, as more of our everyday lives are conducted digitally. Today, some of our most important life moments happen in the form of text messages, emails, social media posts, and pictures captured on smartphones. Scrap Girls plans to continue evolving and finding more ways to help people preserve these special memories through digital scrapbooking.

For their 10th anniversary, Scrap Girls is releasing a commemorative line of products called “Create a Collection” – which features dozens of paper sets, embellishments, alphas, and lots more that you can customise to create your very own unique collection. And just for Scrapbooking Memories, they’ve created an exclusive freebie that matches the Create a Collection line.  The freebie can be used for digital scrapbooking, or printed out to make a terrific greeting card.

So dash over to Scrap Girls and grab your freebie – and be sure to sign up for their free newsletter that gives you freebies in every issue. And while you’re there, join the party as Scrap Girls celebrates all that digital scrapbooking has become in the past decade!

Shop for a good cause!

The amazing volunteers of Quota International of Carindale all have one common aim: to help those in need. One way to do so is to raise funds, and QIC does this in such a fun way – by holding a Craft and Gift Fair!

This year will mark the 10th annual Quota Craft and Gift Fair held in Brisbane. These fairs have previously raised over $30,000, and this year will add to that total to raise money for
CleftPals QLD, Asperger Services Australia and other Quota-affiliated charities.

The fair will be held on Sunday, October 12 at the Carina Leagues Club, 1390 Creek Rd, Carina and will run from 9am to 4.30pm. Admission is $7 for adults and $5 for pensioners, with all proceeds donated to the charities mentioned above. Plus you get a free gift on entry, and lucky door prizes are held every half an hour. So your money supports charities
while you enjoy a day at the craft fair – what a win-win situation!

Not only will there be plenty of stalls selling a wide variety of craft products and gorgeous one-of-a-kind pieces, but you can also take part in workshops on scrapbooking, cardmaking, cross-stitch, sewing, beading and much more!
