After the success of last year’s outback scrap, Alana Steadman has organised another for this year! Attending so far is Alana Steadman, Cassandra Glass, Lu Benson, Rachelle Minett and Sandra Gerdes. Set for August 15, 16 and 17, Alana says it’s the largest scrap event in Queensland outside Brisbane. “We are a million miles from a city and we can still attract tutors of such high quality,” she says. “Last year our numbers nearly doubled and we’re expecting the same this year. We’d love everyone to come!” For more information, contact Alana Steadman on 07 4741 0080.

Why not pop along to a 12-hour crop to raise money in support of Muscular Dystrophy Association of NSW? The crop was held last year with great success and this year they are looking to do even better. It’s on Saturday, July 26 from 10am to 10pm at Edgeworth Bowling Club, Newcastle NSW. Entry is just $15 with all proceeds going directly to this worthy cause. On the day, there will be classes for an additional $10 each, raffles, demos and a whole lot of fun. Shop and Crop (www.shopandcrop.com.au) will be the shop this year, so you can pick up a bargain or two as well.
