FISKARS TEMPLATE AND PUNCH LAYOUT

By Dawn Stan

For this Project you will need:

Tools:

  • Fiskars ® trimmer
  • Fiskars ® Micro tip soft touch scissors
  • Fiskars ® Ultra ShapeXpress
  • Fiskars ® Self Healing Mat
  • Fiskars ® Butterfly Shape Template 1
  • Fiskars ® Border Punch” Scallop Sentiment”
  • Fiskars ® Corner Squeeze Punch “ Something Old, Something New”

Materials:

  • Ink by Steph Patterned Paper
  • Patterned Paper
  • Lil Davis Alphabet Stickers
  • Fiskars foam adhesive
  • Kaiser Rhinestones
  • Black Pen
  • Sandpaper

Instructions:

  • Step One:
Punch a border on the top and bottom of the green background paper using the Fiskars ‘Scallop Sentiment’ border punch. Distress the edges of the paper using sandpaper.

  • Step two:
Trim1/2 inch of the side of the floral patterned paper and ¼ inch off the top.

  • Step three:
Position your photos along the top half of the floral patterned paper. Punch the outer corners of the photos using the Fiskars Corner Squeeze Punch, ‘Something Old, Something New’.

  • Step four:
Cut a large and a small butterfly using the Fiskars ShapeXpress out of red patterned paper. Cut a large butterfly out of the floral patterned paper so that the butterfly wings will sit over the edge of the photo. Distress the edges of the butterfly using sandpaper.

  • Step five:
Adhere the patterned paper over the top of the green background paper. Adhere the large butterfly over the top of the cut-out butterfly and the small butterfly on an angle beside the large butterfly. Use foam adhesive to lift the wings.

  • Step six:
Finish off by adding journaling along the bottom and side of the layout. Add black rhinestones as a border along the top of the layout and to embellish the butterfly. Add a title using Lil Davis Alphabet Stickers in the bottom right hand corner.
