Embossing is an easy technique to master and it can add life, texture and dimension to any project. Its professional finish can be used for card making, scrapbooking, beyond the page, embellishments and more! Read through these step-by-step instructions to see how simple it really is!
STEP 1.

Fold a piece of paper in half to get a crease and place this under your work space to avoid any wastage. Swipe your page or card with an antistatic pad before stamping. Stamp your desired image using pigment ink or embossing ink, then quickly pour a generous amount of embossing powder over it. The powder will stick to the wet ink.
STEP 2.

Tip off the excess onto the creased paper, and gently tap the back of your card. You can use a fine brush to remove any misplaced grains. Carefully lift the paper holding the excess powder and fold into a V-shape to pour back into the container.
STEP 3.

Heat the embossing with a heating tool, or even a hair drier or toaster can work, until the powder has melted into a raised, glossy finish. Allow to dry for one minute before touching it. Voila!
