  • Change the colour of metal embellishments with StazOn ink, it saves you having to buy other colours.
  • When using a lot of photos make sure you still have plenty of space left on your page for balance.
  • For funky embellishments, mat scraps of patterned paper and ink along edges.
  • Create a funky background by using quilting and patchwork techniques.
  • For an easy alternative to sepia photos, place black and white shots onto a cream background – it had the same effect!
  • Use cardstock letters as a stencil to create as many coordinating letters as you like.
  • Strips of patterned paper can be used in place of ribbon for embellishing.
  • If you make a spelling mistake when journalling, re-write the work on coloured cardstock and use as an embellishment – no-one will ever know!
  • Go free-style on your projects – experiment with doodling, different mediums etc and create your own style.
  • Create a page where journalling is the main focus, rather than the photo for something different.
  • For greater impact, digitally alter the saturation and contrast of your photos.
  • To give your layout a ‘fresh’ feel, keep a lot of white as background.

Use your unused metal cookbook stand to display your most recent creation.  Put it in a prominent position so the whole family can check it out, and friends that visit can see what you are up to.

If you like the look of chipboard letters, save money by buying the plain ones and only buy the one font. This way you reduce the feeling of frustration at almost having the right letters to form a word in the font you want. Bella chipboard letters are cheap and easy to decorate with ink, paint etc and you can stock up if they are on sale!

If you trying to find a way to store packets of things like rubons etc, thread a rubberband thru the hole at the top of the packets then slip one side of the rubberband thru the other loop and pull tight. You can also use Jump Rings instead of rubberbands.  I hang mine on draw nobs.

Different size bubble wrap is also great to stamp with as well- either by using a stamp pad or paint. Gives a wonderful effect on your LO!

Great way to get organized,  use a consintine file to organize your  scrap papers by colours, better yet use one for your themes i.e. Birthdays, Getways, Boys, Girls ect  great for limited space scrap areas :)

******   If you dont have the right color fabric flower for your layout, just use an ink pad in the color needed and ink the flower.  Its dry and ready to use in a few seconds. eg My layout "EYES" the large brown flower was pale pink.  ******
